Our fees vary and are determined on a per-project basis as each request is unique. The media usage, length of term, and territory will factor into your request.
No, we are the sole rights holders to the work we license. Our work is registered with the US Copyright Office and with performance rights organizations like ASCAP. We are both the writer and publisher and control all rights.
Provide us with as much detail about your project as you can, giving us all the information requested. The requested information is required to prepare the legal documentation for signature. Without it, the process cannot move forward. If you are working with a locked budget, please disclose this upfront to facilitate and accelerate the process.
The basic administration cost and time required to issue licenses requires us to charge a fee. We do not issue licenses for free.
Even if you have purchased a song in mechanical or digital form, you still must obtain a license to use work for which we control the copyright before using our music in your publicly distributed project. Purchasing music only allows you private listening use of the music. Additional licensing, like sync licensing, allows repurposing based on the specific terms outlined in the license agreement.
Generally, we do not grant a license for use of existing music in demo reels due to potential conflicts with current license holders. However, if you’d like to discuss the commission of new and original music for your project, please contact us directly at info@impactist.com.
